BETHLEHEM STAR

Some Wise Men in the east afar
Were watching for a certain star
To tell them of the blessed birth
Of their Saviour here on earth.
And so it was when Christ was born
In Bethlehem one early morn,
Up in the sky God placed the star,
Which gave its light to those afar.
The Wise Men saw the star and knew
That God's great promise to them was true,
And then they started out in search
Of the Babe of holy birth.
They took Him precious gifts, we're told,
Of frankincense, myrrh and gold
To show their love to Him who'd be
The King of Kings they'd come to see.
As did the Wise Men from afar,
We, too, can have the morning star
To guide us through the trials each day....
